In Fortfiihrung unserer Untersuchungen iiber viergliedrige Heterocyclen haben wir neue 3.3-disubstituierte Azetidindione-(24) (Malonimide, 111) hergestellt, wobei als Nebenprodukte a.a-disubstituierte Cyanessigsaurechloride (1V) anfallen. Die Umsetzungen der Malonimide 111 mit Ammoniak, Hydrazin, Perchlormethylmercaptan und mit Formaldehyd + sekundaren Aminen sind naher untersucht worden. Als sekundare Arnine fir die Herstellung der MANNlCH-BaSen XI sind auch 3-und 2-substituierte Azetidine verwendet worden. Die Abhgngigkeit der N-Methylierung von der Art der Substitution der Azetidindione-(2.4) in 3-Stellung wurde studiert. Vorlaufige Ergebnisse der mikrobiologischen und der pharmakologischen Priifung der neuen Azetidindione-(2.4) und von deren Derivaten werden erwahnt. Die Lage der Carbonylbande im IR-Spektrum der Malonimide wird durch diesubstituenten in 1-und 3-Stellung unterschiedlich beeinfluat.Vor zwei Jahren haben wir 2) erstrnals Azetidindione-(2.4) (Malonimide) und einige ihrer Urnwandlungen beschrieben. Etwa gleichzeitig wurden von EBNOTHER und Mitarbeitern3) Herstellung und Eigenschaften zahlreicher N-substituierter Azetidindione-(2.4) rnitgeteilt. Es schien uns jetzt von Interesse, die Chemie der substituierten Malonirnide weiter auszubauen, urn eingehendere Erfahrungen iiber diese viergliedrigen Heterocyclen zu erhalten, zurnal bei dieser Klasse einige pharrnakologisch hochwirksame Verbindungen gefunden wurden. So besitzen die 3.3-Dialkyl-Derivate eine besonders kurzdauernde hypnotische Wirkung".Zur Darstellungneuer 3.3-disubstitiiierter Azetidindione-(2.4) (111) wurde das friiher 2) beschriebene Verfahren vereinfacht und verbessert :IV a: R, R = iso-C3H7; b: R, R' = n-CJHII; c: R = n-CsH7, R' = Cyclohexyl; d: R = C2H5, R = n-C3H7; e: R = n-C3H7, R' = iso-C3H7; f : R = iso-C3H7, R' = Cyclohexyl Chemistry 26, 2253 (1961).
