Annual shoot growth in different populations of Lonicera involucrata collected in North America and grown in Norway

Abstract: Seeds were collected from shrubs and brushwood of Lonicera involucrata (Rich .) Banks ex K . Spreng . in coastal Oregon (44-45'N) and interior British Columbia (54-55'N) . The annual shoot growth of the resulting half-sib families and populations was studied in As, Norway (60'N) . The move of these locally adapted types to a new environment revealed the great genetic variation within and between provenances .
