An unusual way to become anaphylactic from banana occurred in a latex‐allergic patient who was bitten by a monkey that had been eating banana ( 37). Lysozyme has been shown to be present in detectable amounts in gloves, and this may be one of the cross‐reacting allergens that account for the association of NRL and fresh‐fruit‐allergic responses ( 36).…”
