This paper tries to investigate the complex characteristics of the communication market where Internet service providers (ISP) lease network access services and compete to serve a large pool of subscribers. For this purpose, we analyze the dynamics of a mixed duopoly game with two decision parameters: price and quality of service (QoS). We calculate and discuss the stability of each equilibrium solution by using the nonlinear system. A numerical simulation is used to show the flip bifurcation to chaos by the decisions of ISPs with different statuses. We discovered that the Nash equilibrium loses stability when the speed of adjustment and transmission fee increase. We show that the system parameter changes the stability of the communication market. In addition, we use a control method to keep the communication market in a stable state.

Fresh products have a strong dependence on time and a large loss rate in the circulation process. Applying RFID technology to the supply chain of fresh products, through the real-time tracking technology, can not only reduce the products’ time dependence but also realize the second order within the whole sales period. This paper takes a two-echelon fresh supply chain of a single fresh retailer as the research object, constructs a two-stage Newsvendor model with or without RFID technology, compares the difference in profits, and provides decision-making reference for fresh retailers whether to invest in RFID or not.

Los canales de distribución convencionales se han visto retados por las nuevas tecnologías que modifican los hábitos de los consumidores. El propósito del artículo es investigar el problema que conllevan los enfrentamientos entre productores y distribuidores respecto a la decisión de abrir un nuevo canal de distribución online en adición a uno tradicional. Anteriores investigaciones han enfocado las decisiones de nuevos canales de distribución desde un punto de vista de investigación de operaciones o marketing solamente, el presente artículo lo enfoca bajo la organización industrial. Mediante una revisión sistemática de la literatura, tomando en cuenta la evolución de los conceptos y las prácticas modernas de distribución, se elaboró un marco teórico basado en la teoría de juegos, especialmente en juegos colaborativos. Aplicando un caso simulado, se observó que el equilibrio de Nash y la inducción hacia atrás en juegos dinámicos es el mejor enfoque para enfrentar la decisión de abrir un nuevo canal de distribución online. Esta investigación se basó en el sector retail, y se sugiere que debería ampliarse a otros sectores como por ejemplo los servicios. El marco teórico desarrollado ayudará los tomadores de decisiones a tener un enfoque más amplio y mejor estructurado sobre la apertura de nuevos canales de distribución online.
