Sexual violence in Indonesia is a very crucial problem. Data on sexual violence shows a very significant increase from year to year. One of the main causes of this violence is the occurrence of family dysfunction which has an impact on the low culture of anti-violence, both in the context of the family and society at large. This study aims to deeply examine how to improve family function through family rituals and explain its relevance to anti-sexual violence culture. This research is based on library data such as journal articles and books as well as online data. The data were analyzed in terms of content (content analysis) with a psychological approach, which more specifically used the concept of family functioning from McMaster's perspective. This study shows that family rituals consisting of eating together, holidays and important moments can increase family functioning optimally. The family ritual is not just a routine, but becomes a valuable moment for the family to foster harmony, internalization and socialization. In this context, the functioning of the family has a very strong relevance to foster a culture of anti-violence, both through its cognitive, effective and psychomotor roles. This research also states that the best solution to create an anti-sexual violence culture must start from simple things. Among them is determining meaningful family rituals. Importantly, these family rituals enhance the functioning of the family as the first madrasa (al-madrasah al-ula) both in the context of education and in the context of protection from all forms of sexual violence.

The discourse on freedom of speech, in particular when expressing an opinion on the provisions of the Rights of the Child, is often ignored by a trend of change in education that is too concentrated on the authoritarian educational process that prioritizes the success of academic learning rather than the socio-emotional success of children. It is important to communicate the experiences and feelings experienced by children, particularly bullying that occurs early in childhood. This research would examine the importance of free expression in children's rights to the prevention of bullying in early childhood through a decolonization approach. This study employed a literature review approach with a transformative paradigm which take a look at critical thoughts about children's rights, particularly freedom of speech that aims at preventing the bullying that occurs in early childhood. This study argued that the process of preventing bullying and even other negative behavior is effective when parents and teacher properly enforce the rights of children, especially freedom of speech. These results further illuminate the complexities faced by teachers in the application of free expression in early childhood education in daily life.

Violence behaviour in Kindergarten children has raised concerns about how teachers handle children's violence cases. Teachers' involvement in preventing and coping with children's violent behaviour relies on teachers' assessment of the situation or the care. Perceptions of children's violence could be different among teachers and academics. Using grounded theory, this research tries to discover the underlying dominant discourses behind teachers' perception of violence among children. This study interviewed three teachers who work at one of Kindergarten in West Bandung District, Indonesia. The findings show that there are three discourses embedded in teachers' perception of violence among children. The discourses are the normalization of violence among children, the innocent child, and blaming the adults. All of these discourses are perpetuated by the dominant developmentalism discourse. Viewed from a poststructuralist lens, this study discusses alternative perspectives about violent behaviour in Kindergarten. The findings may be helpful for preventive programs.
