Abstract. Land use is a basic factor in determining road traces for residential, industrial or other space areas. The existence of spatial layout will affect the class of road, where the construction of new roads should not spoil the existing spatial layout. In swamp areas, land use is more dominated by agriculture, plantations, and forests such as the presence of swamp areas in Banyuasin District [1][2] [13]. The development of swamp areas that are currently being upgraded requires road infrastructure, so it is necessary to undertake a study of the selection of road traces based on existing land use, then in order to gain priority of the land use based on the importance level on the selection of road traces opinion from stakeholders is required, so the selection of road traces in swamp areas can be more economical. Data collection was done through questionnaires distributed to respondents from stakeholders related to road and environmental fields, then analysis of the importance level was done using AHP method. From the analysis results the weights of the importance of land use for the selection road traces was obtained, which are namely shrub/bushes (29.99%), plantation (22.79%), rice field (19,74%), settlements (10.48%), forest (9.77%), water body (7.22%).

The agricultural sector is a mainstay sector in the Indonesian economy. The government can detect and classify land cover change phenomena using remote sensing technology to present agricultural improvement solutions. Remote sensing is an effective tool for monitoring change that occurs continuously and in a large area. This technology can record the earth’s surface from a height of hundreds of kilometers in outer space. This paper uses the ISOCLUST classifier (by producing 6 classes) and Land Change Modeler on Landsat image data in the study area located in Malang Regency, East Java Province. ISOCLUST is an iterative supervised/unsupervised hybrid classifier. Land Change Modeler is an innovative land planning and decision support software that simplifies change analysis, resource management, and habitat assessment. The results of the study using ISOCLUST showed that the overall Kappa was in medium category, 0.4018 and 0.5711. The agriculture area increased to 14.94%, the open forest area increased to 6.46% between 2015 and 2020, while sparse vegetation decreased by 19.36%. The process of detection and classification of land cover using the ISOCLUST classifier and Land Change Modeler shows that the use of remote sensing satellite data is still a consideration in government policy recommendations.

Aceh Besar District is designated as an Integrated Economic Development Zone (KAPET) with the potential for rapid economic and regional development. This has an effect on the demand for land and housing for development which at any time can increase sharply, if not accompanied by certain policies and considerations it can cause a decrease in land capacity and affect the sustainable development of the area. The demand for more rapid development can lead to uncontrolled land-use change, changes in spatial use, and trigger disasters that affect community economic development. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of land use based on the ability of the land to use spatial data in Aceh Besar District. This study uses the scoring method for spatial analysis that refers to the Permen PU No. 20 / PRT / M / 2007. The results showed that the land capability unit of Aceh Besar District had an average weight of 3, except for the land capability of the carrying capacity and foundation stability was less with a weight of 2-3. The land capability value of the Aceh Besar Regency is 71-121, with the highest land capability class being class c (value 83-109) covering an area of 215,861.16 Ha or 74.96% and is included in the medium development classification. The suitability of land use in Aceh Besar District has a high level of land-use suitability with an area corresponding to 277.887,38 Ha or 96,56% and an area according to conditionally covering 9.895,94 Ha or 3.44%, while the level of land use mismatch in Aceh Besar District is classified as low with an area of 2,15 Ha or 0,0007%.
