The clinical presentation is usually a diffuse eruption of erythematous, crusted papules, papulovesicles, and pustules, often with prominent and initial facial involvement (usually the cheeks) that can be distributed over any part of the body (usually the trunk and limbs) and, in rare cases, palms and soles of feet, perineum, and neck .
