“…Using the MCA allows for positioning on the factorial plane of categorical variables, in a descriptive technique that summarizes a matrix of individuals (rows) by variables (columns), decomposing it to a smaller number of factors. The first factor is the most important, since it explains the larger portion of inertia variance (Wachelke et al 2015). Factors are then geometrically represented on a bi-dimensional plane in which specific individual profiles are plotted, making it possible to grasp the structure of the data; in order to do that, we have used the R statistical software (Husson et al 2011).…”

“…This period is more current which concentrates the amount of publications may be motivated by the spread and growing interest in the theory, which increases the national scientific productivity, it has funded more research, in that TSR has shown the methodological plurality, theme and concept that promote understanding of complex psychosocial phenomena. [10] The results show the prevalence of studies published in the field of public health in order to identify and characterize the profile of Brazilian research groups that develop the theme of the theories of social representations. In other descriptive exploratory study of quantitative and qualitative character, also found a higher frequency of research related to the area of public health, involving knowledge of the "health sciences".…”

“…Previous studies have shown that people deal with ambivalent conceptions of ageing and aged care in different socio‐cultural contexts (Brito et al., 2018; Nagel et al., 2011). Ageing is understood positively in relation to older adults’ wisdom and life experience; in contrast, negative aspects include illness, dependency, loneliness, and institutionalization, along with the loss of abilities, family bonds, productivity, and autonomy regarding receiving social care (de São José et al., 2015; Torres et al., 2015; Veloz et al., 1999).…”
