“…The key strength of this study is the inclusion of the community (mother/caregivers) and experts from numerous backgrounds (researchers, IYCF experts, cultural experts, National and Provincial Department of Health) during the development and validation process, ensuring that the content and method of education is targeted and cultural-speci c. Furthermore, the involvement of stakeholders such as mothers/caregivers in developing the education material increases its support and future sustainability in the community [23]. In addition to the advantages of the rigorous development and validation process, the use of the KPP questionnaire before and after implementation of the education will provide valuable information on the size of the problems regarding the different aspects of the education (such as the individual KPP sections) but more importantly, the impact of the education material itself.…”

“…The children's inclination to overeat was hypothesised to be a result of their habitual insufficient food intake prior to their arrival at the orphanage (Fisher et al, 1997). Although studies have been conducted to evaluate the food consumption status of these children (Bello and Pillay, 2019), there are a limited number of studies examining their nutritional behaviours (Fisher et al, 1997). This study aimed to evaluate intuitive eating behaviours, diet quality, and nutritional status of children living separated from their families.…”
