An Electrochemical Sensor of Poly(EDOT-pyridine-EDOT)/Graphitic Carbon Nitride Composite for Simultaneous Detection of Cd2+ and Pb2+

Abstract: In this study, poly(2,5-bis(3,4-ethylenedioxythienyl)pyridine)/graphitic carbon nitride composites (poly(BPE)/g-C3N4) were prepared by an in situ chemical polymerization method. Composites were characterized by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet–visible absorption spectra (UV–vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Furthermore, electrochemical sensors were applied f… Show more

“…[75] The prepared g- poly(BPE)/g-C 3 N 4 composites were used in the simultaneous detection of Cd 2+ and Pb 2+ . [76] The conduction path on the surface of the working electrode was improved by the combination of poly(BPE) and g-C 3 N 4 , which provided a strong conjugating effect, promoting the adsorption of metal ions. and 0.00324 µM for Cd 2+ and Pb 2+ , respectively.…”

“…Environmental lead contamination in water, food, and consumer products are still alarming problems [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. Therefore, new highly sensitive and selective lead measurements are necessary, in particular for convenient field measurements at a low-cost [1][2][3][4][5]8].…”
