“…A recent study reported that limonene was not only the primary constituent of essential oils from the leaves of Valencia orange (accounting for 11.1-12.6%), but also the primary constituent of essential oils from the peel, accounting for 70.3-71.5% (Khalid et al, 2021). Interestingly, the highest concentration of limonene (82.1%) was derived from Valencia oranges from the southern location of Egypt (Khalid and Ahmed, 2020). The oil extracted from the peel of Mandarin orange (C. tangerina) was previously reported to be dominated by the presence of limonene which accounted for 83.57% (Erman et al, 2016).…”
