Advanced Cell Development and Degradation Studies

Abstract: Idaho National Laboratory has been researching the application of solidoxide electrolysis cells for large-scale hydrogen production from steam over a temperature range of 800 to 900°C. This report summarizes the FY 2010 experimental program, which has focused on advanced cell and stack development and degradation studies.

“…Resightings of 23 individuals were recorded across three seasons between 2005 and 2009, at distances ranging from 130 to 650 km. The study suggests that bottlenose dolphins in Irish coastal waters move around the entire Irish coast and are highly mobile and transient, although individuals photo-identified in the Shannon Estuary-home to Ireland's only known resident group of bottlenose dolphins-have not been recorded elsewhere (O'Brien et al 2010).…”

“…A recent study conducted in the waters around Ireland provides comprehensive evidence of wide-scale, long-distance movements of bottlenose dolphins in European waters (O'Brien et al 2010). Resightings of 23 individuals were recorded across three seasons between 2005 and 2009, at distances ranging from 130 to 650 km.…”

“…Figure 10 shows a concept of a SOEC-based hydrogen production central system coupled with high-temperature gascooled nuclear reactors. 52 Figure 11 is an example of a concept combining SOECs with biomass based plant. 53 In this concept, oxygen produced in the SOEC unit can be used for the gasification of biomass, and steam for the SOEC can be generated in the gasification plant.…”
