Adsorbent-based Biogas Quality Analysis through Purification Process

Abstract: Biogas is a raw material utilized to produced biogas. Biogas is renewable energy source produced by the anaerobic activity of organic matter through the fermentation process. Quality of biogas is determined by its main composition, such as methane (CH4). In addition, the composition of biogas also contains impurities such as unburnt carbon dioxide (CO2) so that it reduces the heating value, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and water vapor (H2O) which are corrosive as well as Nitrogen (N2). Adsorption method on the impur… Show more

“…Wastewater in the crumb rubber industry is sourced from raw materials and processes. The crumb rubber industry uses a lot of water to wash raw materials obtained from tappers, which are still dirty and even deliberately filled with wood, metal, and sand [10]. The wastewater becomes liquid and odorous waste [11], [12].…”

“…This process is a great opportunity to produce alternative energy that will reduce the impact of using fossil fuels. Biogas or often also called biogas is a gas that arises when materials such as animal waste, human waste, or garbage, are immersed in water and stored in a closed place or referred to as an anaerobic process (Afisna et al, 2022). The chemical process of gas formation is quite complicated, but the way to produce it is not as difficult as the process of its formation.…”
