Adoption of Sustainable Agriculture Practices in Banana Farm Production: A Study from the Sindh Region of Pakistan

“…From our results, the perceived behavioral control has a signi cant positive impact on behavioral intention, indicating that tea farmers believe that ecosystem construction behavior is simple or they have the ability to construct, then their intention is strong. This conclusion is in line with the previous research results on farmers' behavior (Damalas, 2021., Waseem et al, 2020., Adnan et al, 2018. Adding the factor of perceived behavioral control is helpful to evaluate individual's perception of behavior constraints and behavior induction (Sparks et al, 1997).…”

“…The decision to adopt any technologies is assumed to consist of two processes: First decide whether or not to adopt; then, decide on the extent of adoption if adopted [40,51,64,[74][75][76][77][78]. The first process is measured by a binary variable, which takes the value of one if the technology is adopted and zero otherwise.…”

“…Farmers use agricultural practices such as self-production of seeds, crop associations, crop rotation, irrigation, use of animal droppings to fertilize soils, and use of biopesticides to control pests and diseases. Irrigation is essential for the survival of bananas [7]. Irrigation combined with good soil fertilization greatly improves productivity and makes plants more vigorous and tolerant.…”
