Adaptação Transcultural do Questionário de Estilos Parentais na Alimentação (QEPA)

Abstract

Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever os procedimentos de tradução e adaptação transcultural do Questionário de Estilos Parentais na Alimentação (QEPA) para o contexto brasileiro. Para assegurar a qualidade do procedimento, cinco etapas foram realizadas: 1. tradução do instrumento do idioma de origem para o idioma-alvo; 2. síntese das versões traduzidas; 3. avaliação por experts/público-alvo; 4. tradução reversa e 5. estudo piloto. Buscou-se garantir as propriedades da tradução e da adaptação do QEPA tanto na equivalência semântica quanto na idiomática, experiencial e conceitual entre os itens no idioma original e no idioma-alvo. A análise de consistência interna do questionário apontou a precisão do instrumento. Os resultados apontaram evidências iniciais de adequação do instrumento para avaliação dos estilos parentais presentes no momento da alimentação infantil no público-alvo. ABSTRACT-Transcultural adaptation of the Caregiver's Feeding Styles Questionnaire (CFSQ) This study aims to describe the translation and cross-cultural adaptation procedures of the Caregiver's Feeding Styles Questionnaire (CFSQ) for the Brazilian context. To ensure the procedural quality, five steps were performed: 1. translation of the instrument from the source language to the target language; 2. synthesis of the translated versions; 3. expert/target audience evaluation; 4. reverse translation, and 5. pilot study. We sought to ensure the translation and adaptation properties of the CFSQ semantically and idiomatically, with experiential and conceptual equivalence between the items in the original language and the target language. The internal consistency analysis of the questionnaire indicated instrument accuracy. The results pointed to initial evidence of the instrument's adequacy in evaluating caregiving styles present during infant feeding in the target population.

Cross-Cultural Adaptation of the Brazilian Portuguese Version of the Caregiver’s Feeding Styles Questionnaire

Parenting Practices and the Child's Eating Behavior
