The current global situation of bamboo utilization has shifted from traditional to modern bamboo, along with improved technology and innovations. However, the literature on bamboo research and development in Indonesia is still minimal and fragmented. Moreover, it has not yet clearly seen the strategy and direction of future utilization and its sustainability. Therefore, it is urgent to know the current status of bamboo research and development, especially its sustainable use. A systematic literature review was carried out on the research and development of bamboo in Indonesia, examining and comparing publications from both academic and professional works of literature in the period 2001 to 2021. This study was conducted by building insights from past reviews and initial scoping analysis of two decades of bamboo R&D. The findings of this study build upon the research and efforts on the social-cultural, economic, and ecological aspects underpinnings of bamboo utilization and development. Furthermore, the typology and other supporting factors that have already been carried out will be proposed to help connect fragmented and detached aspects into an integrated strategy and direction of research and development. Finally, future orders for progressing and sustainable bamboo utilization and development in Indonesia are identified.

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh campuran cocodust dan serabut halus sabut kelapa terhadap sifat fisika papan partikel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat papan partikel dari campuran cocodust dan serabut halus sabut kelapa dengan menggunakan perekat kompon karet cair. Mula-mula 53 gram campuran cocodust dan serat halus sabut kelapa dengan perbandingan prosentase 90:10. 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, dan 50:50 dicampur dengan kompon karet cair 30% diaduk hingga merata kemudian dicetak menjadi potongan uji dengan ukuran 10 cm x 5 cm x 7,5 cm lalu dikeringkan. Langkah berikutnya dilakukan pengepresan hingga diperoleh ketebalan 2,5 cm kemudian dilakukan karakterisasi yang meliputi pengujian MOR, MOE, kuat cabut sekrup dan daya serap air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi terbaik diperoleh pada penggunaan campuran cocodust dan serabut halus sabut kelapa dengan perbandingan prosentase 60 : 40. Pada kondisi ini harga MOR, MOE, Kuat cabut sekrup dan daya serap air papan partikel berturut-turut adalah 35,25 kg/cm2; 74,68 kg/cm2 ; 1,94 kg/cm2 dan 28,34%.

Integrating local culture into classes can build meaningful experiences for the students. Suling is a musical instrument originating from West Java’s dominant Sundanese culture and can be an alternative learning medium for teaching sound wave subjects. Using technology can facilitate understanding concepts for students. The Audacity software can help students analyze the spectrum and frequency of the sound produced by Suling. This study aimed to investigate the measurement of the frequency and spectrum of Suling with four and six holes and to analyze the potential for integrating local culture and technology in science learning. The type of research was descriptive to provide an overview of a symptom, event, and actual situation. We used a microphone and Audacity on the computer and each musical instrument in Suling. The study’s results showed that spectrum analysis has a similar pattern in Suling four and six holes and almost had similar frequencies. Local culture has the potential to be implemented in science learning, and technology facilitates students’ understanding of concepts. Suling and Audacity can be used as a learning media for a junior high school practicum on a sound wave subject. Keywords: Sundanese Musical, Instrument and Audacity Software, Sound Waves
