The current study is a descriptive study conducted at the College of Nursing at the University of Basra for the period from October 2021 to April 2022.Electronic health records help nurses communicate more efficiently by eliminating most misinterpretations of written and verbal orders. As well as nurses can create and manage electronic health records and update them, as needed. The collected data analyzed to observed the percentage and mean of score and significance. result showed that the percentage of male was (35%), female (64%), secondary school was (24%),medical institute (35%). Bsc. (29%).1-5 years of experience was (59%),6-10 years (14%). 11-15 years (8%). more than 15 years (12%). On other hand 50% of questions answers were significant concerning use of computer technology in health and 90% of the particepitants offer to use computer technology in nursing work. The evaluation of computerization at work was mainly influenced by the positive aspects and satisfaction with computer use so the study indicates the needs of nurses to use computer technology in the field of health care, record information and communicate with regard to determining treatments and following up on the patient’s health status. Study conducted with the objective of understanding the assistant nurses' perception of a philanthropic institution about the computer use at work. The data collection happened in January 2013, through interviews with 12 nurses who answered the question: tell me about the computer use at your work. The data were treated using the content analysis technique, in which emerged the following theme categories and subthemes: Realizing positive aspects on computer use (nine subthemes); Realizing negative aspects on computer use (four subthemes); Suggesting actions to improve computer use (six subthemes); and Evaluating the computerization at work (three sub-themes). It was possible to conclude that the nurses have the perception that the computer use is related to the easily; the agility and practicality in development of professional activities; but there are technical and operational aspects that still need to be improved.

RESUMOObjetivo: avaliar os registros da equipe de enfermagem quanto ao cumprimento da legislação específica em um hospital de ensino considerando-se o setor da instituição, o turno de trabalho, a categoria profissional e o número de infrações por registro antes e após intervenção educativa. Método: estudo quase-experimental do tipo pré-teste e pós-teste com um único grupo. Resultado: foram avaliados 826 registros de enfermagem. O maior número de registros foi feito na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva, pelos técnicos de enfermagem e no turno noturno. Houve um aumento na quantidade de registros feitos pelos auxiliares de enfermagem nos setores clínica masculina e cirurgia feminina. Houve redução quanto à ocorrência de três infrações ou mais.A intervenção foi eficaz para os itens presença de data, hora, assinatura e carimbo. Discussão: anotações incompletas podem dificultar a assistência individualizada, prejudicar a continuidade da assistência e implicar riscos para a segurança do paciente. Conclusão: intervenções educativas podem contribuir para melhorias nos registros de enfermagem.
