Yogyakarta City is one of the areas that implements vegetable alleys to meet people’s food needs. However, in its implementation there are obstacles to the lack of participation of farmer group members. The study aims to determine the perception of the members of the farmer group towards the implementation of the vegetable aisle, and the factors related to the perception of the members of the farmer group towards the implementation of the vegetable aisle. The research was conducted in the Districts of Umbulharjo, Danurejan and Kotagede. In each sub-district, 4 farmer groups were taken and each farmer group was taken by 5 farmers so that a total of 60 respondents. Data obtained through interviews with a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and spearman rank correlation analysis. The research results show that the perception of farmer group members towards the vegetable aisle from technical and economic aspects is quite good, while from health, aesthetics and environmental aspects it is good. It is recommended that members of farmer groups participate more actively in the implementation of vegetable aisles.

As a densely populated industrial area in Bogor Regency, an urban farming program has been initiated in Gunung Putri District. The right strategy to develop and implement urban farming needs to be known so that this program is successful and sustain in Bogor Regency. This study aims to (1) identify aspects of preparation for urban farming development in Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency; (2) analyze people's perceptions of its development; (3) and formulate its development strategy through qualitative descriptive methods, Likert scale, and SWOT analysis. Based on technical, social, institutional, commercial, financial, and environmental aspects, urban farming activities in this location are potential to be developed to support food adequacy and contribute to household income. The society has an excellent perception of the benefits. However, the community also saw obstacles, including the availability of respondents' time, usable land, capital, and supportive institutions. Most respondents also perceived that the currently limited information related to marketing has the potential to hinder the successful implementation of the urban farming. Nevertheless, the community's desire to participate is quite high, and they will participate if the program is implemented. The highest strength factor in developing urban farming businesses in Gunung Putri District is the public knowledge about cultivation techniques, while the most significant weakness is the marketing of its products. An enormous opportunity is to establish networking with various parties, and the biggest threat is the trend of urban life that does not focus on the agricultural sector. Food is a basic need for humans. Since March 2020, Covid-19 has been detected in Indonesia, which is feared to have an impact on food availability. Banten is a province that is included in Priority Category 3 in handling food insecurity. Cilegon is one of the cities in the Banten Province that is experiencing shrinkage of agricultural land. The purpose of this research is to formulate an urban farming development strategy in Cilegon. The method used in this research is the survey method. This type of research is descriptive, namely research that interprets the factors with the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis method to produce strategies that can support the development of urban farming. The number of samples is 22 residents who carry out urban farming in Ramanuju Baru, Cilegon. The results showed that the internal factor that became the strength was the residents having high motivation and initiative in carrying out urban farming, while the internal factor that became the weakness was the limited knowledge of the residents in developing urban farming from an economic perspective. The results of research from external factors that become opportunities are Cilegon Government Policies in realizing food security, while the threats are pests and diseases in urban farming plants that need to be controlled naturally. Based on the analysis of internal and external factors using the SWOT matrix, the strategy to develop urban farming in Cilegon is to collaborate with the government and urban farming experts to provide consistent assistance to make urban farming activities in Cilegon economically valuable. To realize food security in Cilegon, collaboration is needed in aiding the community to manage urban farming professionally, so that it can provide economic value for the community.
