A Talent Cultivation Model for Improving the Innovation Ability of College Students in Scientific Research

Abstract: The innovation ability of college students in scientific research is constrained by multiple factors. What is worse, the current talent training model in colleges faces many defects. To solve these problems, this paper aims to develop a talent cultivation model that effectively enhances the innovation ability of college students in scientific research. Firstly, the problems with the current talent cultivation model were analyzed, and then the evaluation indicator system was improved for the innovation ability … Show more

“…In this context, colleges must change the traditional educational concepts and methods, reform the curriculum structure, and change the classroom structure. Meanwhile, there is a need to change the knowledge acceptance and transfer model between students and teachers ( Wu and Song, 2019 ; Qi and Wang, 2020 ). Figure 1 shows the comparison between traditional education and IEE in colleges.…”

“…e research and innovation ability of college students is constrained by various factors. Qi and Wang [25] developed a talent training model that effectively improves college students' research and innovation ability, analyzed the problems of the current talent training model, improved the evaluation index system for the research and innovation ability of college students, and combined entropy weight method with grey system theory to quantify their research and innovation ability. Based on fuzzy neural network, Yan and Zhao [26] established a three-level evaluation index system for researchers and evaluated their abilities of project demonstration, project development, and innovation ability, providing a reference for selecting the indices of college students' scientific research ability.…”

“…As an emerging industry, the development level of the science and technology service industry determines the development speed of regional economy and the formation of the innovation ability and development potential of the region; now, the science and technology service industry has received national attention and various supports such as resources, taxes, subsidies from the local governments [4][5][6][7][8]. In 2010, the Ministry of Education issued the Measures for the Certification of College Students' Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Practice Bases and the Opinions on Vigorously Promoting the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of Colleges and Universities and the Independent Entrepreneurship of College Students, and these two documents had pointed out the direction for the development of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship education [9][10]. Effectively cultivating college students' IEA is not only an objective requirement for promoting the innovation ability of the science and technology service industry, but also a task assigned to colleges and universities during the process of building China into an innovative country.…”
