A sensor of m‐cresol nanopolymer/Pt‐electrode film for detection of lead ions by potentiometric methods

Abstract: A sensor of m-cresol polymer film-coated platinum electrode has been fabricated for the detection of lead (II) ions (Pb 2+ ) in aqueous solutions. The study was carried out by the simple potentiometric method by measuring its potentiometric response slope and was confirmed by the cyclic voltammetry technique. The effects of the polymer film thicknesses and the pH of Pb 2+ solution on the response of the sensor were studied. Moreover, the stability, sensitivity, and selectivity of the m-cresol sensor were studi… Show more

“…The average crystallite size of the PANI crystal particles is determined from the full width at half maximum (W) data, considering the single main peak at 25.55 [37,40]. The calculation was carried out using Scherrer's formula; D = 0.9λ/W cos θ; where θ is the Bragg's angle, W is in radians, λ is the X-ray wavelength (CuKα = 0.15405 nm).…”
