Objective: To analyze the use of the Institutional Analysis theoretical-methodological framework and of the central concept of institution in its three moments - instituted, instituting and institutionalizing in health studies. Method: Integrative review conducted in databases of PubMed/Medline, LILACS, Scopus, and CINAHL including original research articles published between 2012 and 2017. Results: Analysis of 26 publications. A plurality of study objects was found, and the most common were related to collective health, namely: mental health, violence, family-team relationship, family health, primary care, health of women, children and adolescents, oral health, continuing education, micropolitics of health work, health surveillance, HIV, law, pedagogical practices, school education and Autism. Nursing and psychology were the areas that most opted for Institutional Analysis. The polysemy of the institution concept was confirmed in the findings, indicating the richness of modes and uses of the concepts. Conclusion: Institutional Analysis presents tool-concepts to perform analyzes of health practices consistent with the Unified Health System.

A fabricação de dispositivos para produzir informações em pesquisas sociais e em saúde é algo que merece atenção por parte dos pesquisadores. Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar de que forma foram construídos dispositivos de pesquisa a partir do processo de entrada no campo de intervenção em duas pesquisas socioclínicas. Foram analisados os diários de campo de dois pesquisadores que desenvolveram suas pesquisas em dois campos de intervenção diferentes: Estratégia Saúde Família de um município mato-grossense e os 24 municípios que compõem o Departamento Regional de Saúde III do Estado de São Paulo. Para a análise, adotaram-se, além da elaboração de dispositivos de pesquisa, alguns conceitos do referencial teórico-metodológico da Análise Institucional, dentre os quais: analisador, atravessamento, transversalidade e implicação. Concluiu-se que a elaboração de dispositivos em pesquisas qualitativas na modalidade pesquisa-intervenção, como é o caso das pesquisas socioclínicas, devem abranger, ao mesmo tempo, ferramentas sensíveis à produção de informações e também modos de intervir na realidade em estudo, atribuindo assim uma especificidade ao arcabouço das pesquisas-intervenção. Acrescenta-se, ainda, que no caso das pesquisas socioclínicas, a construção dos dispositivos deve se dar processualmente, levando em consideração as inúmeras variáveis que podem atuar enquanto analisadores na condução desses estudos.

Objective: to reflect on the contributions and limits of the Institutional Socio-clinic as a theoretical-methodological approach in nursing and health research.Method: a reflection study developed by outlining the modalities to conduct the Institutional Socio-clinic approach: socioanalytical intervention, institutional analysis of professional practices, action-research and socioanalytical research.Result: the institutional socio-clinic is a continuity of the theoretical-methodological approach of Lourau's socioanalysis, an institutional analysis current in the French line. It proposes eight guiding principles: order and demand analysis; the subjects' participation in the device; work of the analyzers; analysis of the transformations that occur as the work advances; application of restitution modalities; work of primary and secondary implications; intention to produce knowledge and attention to the contexts; and institutional interferences. The contributions are related to the logic of transforming to know, collective knowledge production and knowledge and learning exchange between participants and researchers. The challenges are related to the rupture of the dominant logic in research and the inclusion of knowledge and power differences in the knowledge production.Conclusion: the institutional socio-clinic can articulate the transformation of practices and the knowledge production. The reference framework offers important support in the field of knowledge production in nursing and health because it values the subjectivity of the stakeholders and the institutions that cross the practices and relationships throughout the research process.
