A New Route for Low Pressure and Temperature CWAO: A PtRu/MoS2_Hyper-Crosslinked Nanocomposite

Abstract: PtRu/MoS2 nanoparticles (NPs) (PtRu alloy partially coated by one-layer MoS2 nanosheets) were prepared through a ‘wet chemistry’ approach. The obtained NPs were directly embedded, at 5 parts per hundred resin/rubber (phr) loading, in a poly (divinylbenzene-co-vinyl benzyl chloride) hyper-crosslinked (HCL) resin, synthesized via bulk polymerization of the resin precursors, followed by conventional FeCl3 post-crosslinking. The obtained HCL nanocomposites were characterized to evaluate the effect of the NPs. It s… Show more

“…Similarly, macromolecules can be used as precursors to achieve hyper-crosslinked polymers in the form of networked polymers by adding intermolecular covalent bonds. The general synthesis methods are post-crosslinking and crosslinking with the addition of crosslinkers [ 56 , 57 ].…”

“…Moreover, through this procedure, the embedding and dispersion of different inorganic nanofillers was exploited as a successful strategy to tune specific properties of the resin. Several HCLR-based nanocomposites have been synthesized [ 15 ], either to modify the textural or adsorption properties of the resin [ 14 , 16 ], or to transfer to the high surface area resin specific features of the nanofillers, such as catalytic activity [ 17 , 18 ] or magnetic properties [ 19 ].…”
