A New Approach to Auger Recombination. Application to Lead Chalcogenides

Abstract: A New Approach to Auger Reconibination Application to Lead Chalcogenides 0. ZIEP and M. MOCKER BY The Auger transition rate derived b y means of Green's functions is formulated in terms of exchange of energy and wave vector of the corresponding transitions. Hereby the transition probabilities are modified b y dynamical corrections. This treatment allows t o calculate the Auger coefficient in lead chalcogenides with sufficient accuracy. As a consequence Auger recombination in PbSe has t o be considered.Die Uber… Show more

“…Assuming that thernialization processes in the conduction (v = c) and valence bands (v = v) dominate as compared to recombination, the introduction of quasi-Fermi levels E, and F , is justified [13]. In order to describe the evolution of our system we follow the treatment of Kadanoff and Baym 1201 and generalize imaginary time Green's functions of Bloch states vk with respect to real times.…”
