In the study, the purpose was to determine the perceptions of students from the department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies regarding the concept of curriculum. The participants of the study conducted with the phenomenology research design were 212 preservice teachers. The research data were collected via document analysis and interviews. For the analysis of the data, the inductive content analysis method was used. The results revealed that the preservice teachers perceived the concept of curriculum as a process with positive and negative features which emphasize change and development. The results also demonstrated that the participants perceived their levels of knowledge about curriculum as partly sufficient. In addition, it was found that undergraduate education has an important role in the development of these perceptions. Moreover, the results emphasized the need for making more planned and systematic regulations in relation to the functioning of curriculum studies in Turkey. Lastly, the results demonstrated that there is a need for regulations in the structure of the preservice teacher education curricula to give meaning to the concept of curriculum.

Öz. Öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersi öğretmen adayının öğretim sürecinde neye, nasıl rehber olması gerektiği konusunda onlara bilgi ve beceri edinimini sağlayan önemli bir derstir. Bu ders aracılığı ile öğrenme çıktıları, öğretmen ve öğrencinin rolleri ve etkinlikler açıkça tanımlanarak planlı ve amaca yönelik bir pedagojik yol izlenmektedir. Bu araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersine ilişkin algılarının metaforlar aracılığıyla incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma olgubilim ile desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, öğretmen adaylarının, öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersini alıyor olmaları ölçüt olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya 2018-2019 akademik yılı güz yarıyılında, Temel Eğitim Bölümü ikinci sınıfında öğrenim gören 117 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Adaylardan "Öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersi ….. benzer. Çünkü….." ifadesine yanıt vermeleri istenmiştir. Öğretmen adayları öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersine ilişkin 72 farklı metafor üretmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, sınıf öğretmeni ve okul öncesi öğretmeni adaylarının öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersine ilişkin algılarını öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersi'nin işlevi, öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersinin yapısı ve öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersinin önemi olmak üzere üç ana kategoride ele aldıklarını göstermektedir.

Araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen eğitimi programlarında mevcut durumda yer alan derslere ek olarak seçmeli olarak yer verilebilecek bir ders önerisine ilişkin ihtiyaç analizi yapılması ve bu derse yönelik düzenlenen program taslağının sunulmasıdır. Araştırma, durum çalışması yöntemiyle desenlenmiştir. İhtiyaç analizi kapsamında Türkiye’nin güneyinde bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinin sınıf öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören 10 öğretmen adayıyla görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, uluslararası belge ve raporlar incelenmiştir. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler ve doküman incelemesi aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, tümdengelimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda, “Eğitime Farklı Bakış” dersine yönelik bir ihtiyaç olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları kapsamında, öğretmen adaylarının görüşlerine yönelik sonuçlara, uluslararası eğilimlere yönelik sonuçlara ve önerilen derse yönelik öğretim programı taslağına yer verilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları doğrultusunda, uygulamaya ve ileride yapılacak araştırmalara yönelik çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.
