A Flexible Extension of Reduced Kies Distribution: Properties, Inference, and Applications in Biology

Abstract: The extended reduced Kies distribution (ExRKD), which is an asymmetric flexible extension of the reduced Kies distribution, is the subject of this research. Some of its most basic mathematical properties are deduced from its formal definitions. We computed the ExRKD parameters using eight well-known methods. A full simulation analysis was done that allows the study of these estimators’ asymptotic behavior. The efficiency and applicability of the ExRKD are investigated via the modeling of COVID-19 and milk data… Show more

“…In other words, we blended existing distributions together to create the new distribution. For more information, see [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. One of the primary objectives of statistics is to develop applicable statistical models for occurrences in the real world that can be modelled using already existing probability distributions.…”

“…In light of this, several researchers have conducted studies on the vaccination process and analyzed the impact of vaccine distribution on the spread of the virus. For instance, sources such as [4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11] have examined the efficacy of vaccination efforts and explored their potential to reduce the spread of COVID- 19. This research paper presents a significant contribution to the field of probability distributions by introducing a novel two-parameter bounded distribution using the power transformation method for generalization. The proposed distribution offers the capability to model a hazard rate function that exhibits both bathtub and increasing shapes.…”
