A espiritualidade do professor no processo pedagógico da educação superior

Abstract

O conceito de espiritualidade é muito amplo, tanto que diversas práticas como empatia, amor ao próximo, respeito, autoconsciência, dentre outras, podem ser compreendidas como espiritualidade. Diante de tantos conceitos, tornou-se instigante estudar a relevância da espiritualidade, tendo como foco de pesquisa duas instituições de ensino superior, sendo uma confessional e outra não confessional. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de pesquisa análises de documentos, entrevistas com professores e aplicação de questionário aos estudantes. A análise dos dados foi feita por meio da triangulação, usando o método dedutivo qualitativo de cunho exploratório. Como resultado, verificou-se que as duas instituições possuem documentos pedagógicos que incentivam práticas de espiritualidade em sala de aula e que a maioria dos docentes e estudantes de ambas as instituições acreditam que a espiritualidade é relevante na formação discente, principalmente em forma de práticas de responsabilidade, estímulos à superação e busca do desenvolvimento pessoal.
