“…The technical architecture with varied features grounding the IRs varies, but the main aim of every open institutional platform is to remove the barriers existent in the scholarly world, which they seem to perform positively from the times of their inception. Nowadays, IRs are also institutionalizing more interactive features like Web 2.0 for wider and quicker dissemination of research (Aguillo, 2020; Brown and Boulderstone, 2008; Cocciolo, 2010; Earnshaw and Vince, 2007; Jones, 2007; Jones and American Library Association, 2009; Littlejohn and Pegler, 2007; Livingston, 2010; Megrey and Moksness, 2009; Mendes and Brasileiro, 2007; Ozek, 2011; Primary Research Group, 2008; Shafi et al, 2013; Shueb and Sofi, 2014; Sicilia and Lytras, 2009; Weenink et al, 2008; Wood, 2007).
