“…rGO, achieved through different reduction procedures, has been reported as a p-type material. , Likewise, studies have shown that rGO obtained through certain methods such as low-temperature annealing has a n-type behaviour . rGO has also been reported to exhibit ambipolar behavior, that is, which undergoes easy transition from p-type to n-type behavior and vice versa based on external conditions, and this behavior has been utilized in several gas sensing applications. Romero et al especially showed that rGO is rendered p-type solely because of adsorbed gases on the surface, much like the mechanism discussed here . The gas atoms chemisorbed on rGO, trap electrons, and lead to their depletion in the material, allowing holes to dominate the conduction.…”
