Misinterpretation of the sublingual microcirculation during therapy with levosimendan

Abstract: There is increasing evidence in the literature that preoperative treatment with levosimendan optimizes cardiopulmonary haemodynamics in patients scheduled for the implantation of a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD).
