“…Due to this one being a critical review, the debate between traditional and eminent authors in the fi eld of Developmental Psychology and Evolution is brought forward. In Brazil, the discussion on Developmental Systems is quite limited, even though some researches on child development refer to the Nature/Nurture dichotomy and the process of overcoming it (e. g., Servilha & Bussab, 2015) and to the twoway interaction between the individual and their culture (Borges & Salomão, 2015).
