Objective: to identify the constituent services of the network to combat violence against rural women in municipalities in the northwestern region of Rio Grande do Sul and to analyze the articulation and communication of services in search of the resolution of situations of violence. Method: descriptive-exploratory, qualitative study, carried out through semi-structured interviews with 26 professionals from intersectoral services, as well as managers and/or those responsible for these services. Data were systematized through content analysis. Results: although the professionals collectively discuss and plan coping actions, diffi culties were identifi ed in the approximation between services, related to the defi nition of fl ow, knowledge of actions/referrals, fear of seeing and reporting violence, understanding that it is not a question of demand of their fi eld of action, and women's access to services. Final considerations: it is evident the need to implement public policies that address the singularities of violence against women in rural settings. RESUMO Objetivo: identifi car os serviços constituintes da rede de enfrentamento à violência contra mulheres rurais em municípios da região noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul e analisar a articulação e a comunicação dos serviços na busca da resolutividade das situações de violência. Método: estudo descritivo-exploratório, qualitativo, realizado por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 26 profi ssionais de serviços intersetoriais, além de gestores e/ou responsáveis por estes serviços. Os dados foram sistematizados mediante a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: embora os profi ssionais discutam e planejem coletivamente as ações de enfrentamento, identifi caram-se difi culdades na aproximação entre os serviços, relacionadas à defi nição de fl uxo, conhecimento das ações/ encaminhamentos, medo de ver e notifi car a violência, entendimento de que não se trata de uma demanda do seu campo de atuação, e o próprio acesso das mulheres aos serviços. Considerações fi nais: evidencia-se a necessidade de implementação de políticas públicas que atendam as singularidades da violência contra as mulheres no cenário rural. Resumo: Moradores de assentamentos de reforma agrária têm uma vida marcada por condições de vida e trabalho precárias, que, aliadas às barreiras no acesso às políticas e programas de saúde e assistência social, agravam as situações de vulnerabilidade que impactam a saúde mental. Este trabalho pretende discutir o cuidado desenvolvido por equipes de saúde e assistência social referente às demandas de saúde mental de assentados do Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil. Foram entrevistados 53 profissionais de forma individual ou por grupo de diferentes categorias profissionais. Para a análise dos resultados utilizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo como proposta para categorização dos dados. Resultados indicam que os trabalhadores vivenciam condições precárias de trabalho e que as equipes têm pouco conhecimento do território e das necessidades de saúde mental. O cuidado implementado ainda corresponde à lógica biomédica, com pouca participação dos moradores e desconsideração dos saberes e práticas de cuidado tradicionais. A atenção psicossocial não funciona de forma articulada apresentando problemas quanto ao seguimento e à continuidade de cuidados. Em função do desconhecimento das especificidades da população assentada e da fragmentação da rede de atenção psicossocial, essas equipes não conseguem acolher e responder às necessidades em saúde mental de modo a interferir nas iniquidades em saúde.Abstract: Dwellers of agrarian reform settlements have a life conditioned by poor living and work conditions; they have difficulties accessing health programs, social assistance and other public policies and this exacerbate their vulnerability, which has an impact on their mental health. This research investigates the care given by the health and social assistance staff, regarding the mental health demands of rural settlements of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. 53 experts from different professional categories were interviewed individually or in groups. For the analysis of the results we used the Content Analysis as a proposal for categorization of data. TR results indicate that the workers experience poor working conditions and that staff has little knowledge of the local conditions and of the mental health needs. The implemented health care still corresponds to the biomedical logic, with little participation of the dwellers, disregarding the traditional knowledge and practices of local health care. The psychosocial care is not well coordinated, presenting problems with follow-up and continuity. Due to the lack of specific knowledge of the specifics of the life conditions of the dwellers and the fragmentation of the psychosocial health care network, the staff does not abide and is not ready to face the mental health needs in order to change these health iniquities.

Temporal trend of the homicide rate of Brazilian women

Objective: to analyze the temporal trend of the homicide rate of women in the states of Northeastern Brazil. Methods: ecological study of temporal trend. Data were the 25,332 feminicide deaths recorded in the Mortality Information System. A temporal trend analysis was performed using negative binomial regression. Results: after the correction steps, there was an increase of approximately 17.0% in deaths, corresponding to the standardized average rate of 4.7/100,000 women. There were higher mortality rates in women in the second and third decades of life. Higher average rates per 100,000 women were observed in the states of Pernambuco (8.25) and Alagoas (6.32). An increase in mortality rates in all the states of the analyzed region, in the period verified was evidenced, with the exception of Sergipe. Conclusion: a high magnitude of feminicide rates and ascendant trends were observed in most states in the Northeast Region of Brazil.
