Objective: to identify respiratory clinical changes in preterm newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Methods: this is a documentary research with 145 medical records by an instrument with sociodemographic variables of preterm newborns and their mothers. Results: most of the newborn were male, 66.9% were born surgically, 64.8% were moderately premature, and the birth weights were between 1,500 and 2,500 grams. Among the respiratory changes, there were early respiratory dysfunction, hyaline membrane, and apnea. There was the prevalence of women in preterm labor (42.8%), water breaking (32.4%) and pre-eclampsia (20.7%) among others were found to be related to obstetric factors related to prematurity. Conclusion: a high incidence of preterm births was observed, with significant respiratory changes.

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar as evidências científicas disponíveis na literatura sobre a utilização da observação participante nas pesquisas de gestão em enfermagem. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada em janeiro de 2020 a partir de publicações científicas de enfermagem indexadas na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) de 2009 a 2019, onde se utilizaram as palavras-chave ‘observação participante’, ‘gestão’ e ‘enfermagem’. Selecionaram-se quatorze estudos para a análise. A observação participante vem sendo utilizada para avaliar a gestão em enfermagem em hospitais, atenção primária, hemoterapia e serviços de atendimento a doenças infectocontagiosas. Esse método de pesquisa permitiu identificar as fragilidades e potencialidades do processo de trabalho e a subjetividade das relações interpessoais que interferem na gestão de enfermagem. Pressupõe-se que o método observação participante contribui para o conhecimento científico da gestão de enfermagem, o que permite um profundo diagnóstico do processo de trabalho e indica o aprimoramento necessário.
