BREASTFEEDING : INSTINTIVE? NATURAL? THE BIOLOGICAL PARAGON X THE REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS lN DISCUSSION

Abstract

RESUMO: O objetivo deste ensaio foi refletir sobre a naturalização do aleitamento, inserindo o campo da amamentação na esfera dos direitos da mulher, procurando desconstruir o paradigma que biologiza o corpo feminino para as funções maternas, em especial para a amamentação, à luz dos direitos reprodutivos. Na discussão salientamos a importância das ações de incentivo ao aleitamento materno estarem embasadas na noção de direitos reprodutivos, o que permitirá aos profissionais de saúde compreenderem os significados da amamentação no marco de vida da mulher e de seu cotidiano. Propomos no final que os direitos reprodutivos direcionem as ações de incentivo ao aleitamento materno desenvolvidas pelos profissionais de saúde, na perspectiva de resgatar a visibilidade da mulher enquanto sujeito principal desta prática . PALAVRAS-CHAVE: saúde da mulher, aleitamento materno, direitos reprodutivos ABSTRACT: The objective of this essay was to reflect about the naturalization of the breastfeeding, inserting the field of the breastfeeding in the range of the women rights, seeking to destroy the paragon that biologizes the fe male body to the maternal fu nctions, in special to the breastfeeding in the range of the reproductive rights. ln discussion we protrude the importance of the actions wich estimulate the breastfeeding are embased in the notion of the reproductives rights, which will allow the health professionals to comprehend the meaning of the breastfeeding in the women's mark of life and their everyday. By the end, we propose that the reproductive rights drive the actions of breastfeeding incentive developed by the health professionals, in the perspective of to redeem the view of the women while the main subject of this practice.
