Calogênese e rizogênese em explantes de mogno (<i>Swietenia macrophylla</i> King) cultivados in vitro.

No presente trabalh… Show more

“…Brazilian mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King) is the most commercially valuable Meliaceae species in the international timber market and one of the most exploited plant species in Brazil (SANTOS et al, 2008a). However, mahogany monoculture is jeopardized by severe pest attacks, which limit tree growth and cause excessive damage and plant death (ROCHA; QUOIRIN, 2004).…”

“…ations of these he use of auxi ses ( Taiz Quoirin (2004), also working with "mogno", observed that in leaf explants, 90% of them formed callus in culture medium containing 4.4 μM BAP with 0.54 μM ANA and 8.9 μM BAP with 0.11 ANA or 0.54 μM.…”

“…Quisen (2007) obtained calli from Eucalyptus globulus in the dark after a 30-days exposure followed by transference to light for 30 more days, but different cytokines (BAP, TDZ, KIN) and auxins (NAA, 2,4-D, picloran) combinations did not influence calli formation. Rocha & Quoirin (2004), on the other hand, induced calli in mahohany explants with BAP + NAA.…”
