Introduction New contexts of practice demand that professionals engage in critical reflection to handle new situations and to create new knowledge that is responsive to professional practices situated in unique historical and social contexts. Community of Practice offers a framework for professions to reflect together on practice dilemmas and to generate practical solutions. Methods This paper presents a participatory action research project that traces the trajectory of a Community of Practice made up of seven occupational therapists working in primary health care and a researcher team, in Brazil. This study mapped the Community of Practice's trajectory between 2013 and 2017 through a group timeline analysis, which occurred gradually, in a collaborative mode. Results Three distinct phases in the trajectory of the development of the Community of Practice were identified: narrative perspectives were utilised as a means to identify dilemmas and difficulties in practice; the investigation of clients' needs and identification of issues was an ongoing process; and the generation of practice‐based knowledge through the development of instruments to sustain clinical reasoning was a creative solution to practical dilemmas. Conclusion Three main aspects were highlighted: the partnership between researchers and practitioners as a potential avenue for the production of knowledge relevant to professional practice; the negotiation of the dilemma of "putting practice into words" in the context of constantly changing local and global perspectives; and the investigation of situated practice as an important element that can strengthen, strain, resist or even modify hegemonic perspectives of knowledge production in our field.

Resumo A terapia ocupacional social se localiza ao longo da história como subárea que se constrói no Brasil, principalmente na emergência de estudar, pesquisar e questionar temas relacionados às contradições e injustiças sociais da sociedade capitalista, propondo ações terapêutico-ocupacionais que buscam o seu enfrentamento. No contexto da pandemia da COVID-19, os abismos postos por essas contradições têm ficado cada vez mais evidentes, nacional e globalmente, tendo em vista a desigualdade estrutural existente. A população em vulnerabilidade social é a maior impactada pelos seus efeitos, dada a ausência e/ou insuficiência de recursos, estratégias de prevenção e/ou tratamento da doença em seus cotidianos, associados às dificuldades de realizar o isolamento social, a manutenção do emprego e da renda, bem como o menor acesso à saúde e ao saneamento básico. Frente a isso, compreende-se que as questões macrossociais têm relação direta com o desenvolvimento da doença e a forma como afeta os diferentes grupos populacionais. Desta forma, destaca-se a importância das contribuições da terapia ocupacional social, no âmbito da pesquisa e/ou intervenção, baseadas em um pensar/fazer que acolha os desejos e as necessidades dos indivíduos e grupos, que problematize os impactos das desigualdades estruturais na vida cotidiana, que fortaleça movimentos de afirmação da vida, da autonomia, da cidadania e dos direitos. Por fim, fomentando estratégias de igualdade e reconhecimento, na democratização das possibilidades de dar continuidade à vida em meio e após a pandemia.

A pandemia da COVID-19 trouxe consigo mudanças na sociedade, de forma que a população foi afetada. Como estratégia para minimizar os possíveis impactos aos usuários, foi orientado o uso do teleatendimento por profissionais da saúde. Os terapeutas ocupacionais podem utilizar a Telessaúde para avaliar, intervir, monitorar, supervisionar e realizar consultoria entre o terapeuta ocupacional, cliente, familiar, cuidador, e instituição prestadora de serviços de saúde. A partir desta nova realidade, este estudo propõe-se a refletir sobre o teleatendimento em Terapia Ocupacional e apontar novas possibilidades na prática terapêutico-ocupacional em tempos de COVID-19.Palavras-chave: Coronavírus; Terapia Ocupacional; Telessaúde; Pandemia. Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic brought about changes in society, so that the population was affected. As a strategy to minimize possible impacts to users, the use of call centers by health professionals was guided. Occupational therapists can use Telehealth to assess, intervene, monitor, supervise and make consult between the occupational therapist, client, family member, caregiver, and health care provider. Los terapeutas ocupacionales pueden usar Telesalud para evaluar, intervenir, monitorear, supervisar y consultar entre el terapeuta ocupacional, el cliente, el miembro de la familia, el cuidador y el proveedor de atención médica. A partir de esta realidad, este estudio propone reflexionar sobre el call center en Terapia Ocupacional y señalar nuevas posibilidades en la práctica terapêutica ocupaiconal en tiempos de COVID-19.
