Level of Physical Activity in Basic Education Teachers Evaluated by Two Instruments

Abstract: RESUMOAs doenças cardiovasculares são as principais causas de óbito nacional, sendo o sedentarismo um importante fator de risco neste processo degenerativo. “…Com relação ao estilo de vida dos docentes deste estudo, a maioria pratica algum tipo de atividade física semanal, contrariando estudos que comprovam que a prática de atividade física por docentes brasileiros é baixa e que a maioria não atinge os valores recomendados de 150 minutos de atividade moderada à vigorosa por semana (BRITO et al, 2012).
