Association of different biomarkers of renal function with D-dimer levels in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (renal biomarkers and D-dimer in diabetes)

Abstract: Objective This study aimed to evaluate the association between different renal biomarkers with D-Dimer levels in diabetes mellitus (DM1) patients group classified as: low D-Dimer levels (< 318 ng/mL), which included first and second D-Dimer tertiles, and high D-Dimer levels (≥ 318 ng/mL), which included third D-Dimer tertile. Materials and methods D-Dimer and cystatin C were measured by ELISA. Creatinine and urea were determined by enzymatic method. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated us… Show more

“…Sabe-se que a HAS lesiona as unidades filtrantes dos rins, os néfrons, condição que limita ou impede a remoção de resíduos e excesso de líquido do sangue, predispondo à LRA (6). Enquanto a DM, desencadeia aumento progressivo da excreção urinária de albumina acompanhada do declínio da filtração glomerular/ Clearance de creatinina (21) .…”

“…Moreover, it is knowing that the hypertension compromise the structure of nephron that hinder the removal of residues and excess of blood liquid, which predispose to acute kidney injury. The diabetes in turn, result in progressive increase of urinary albumin excretion, resulting in decline of glomerular filtration (18)(19) .…”

“…Cys C was considered to be concerning action of markers in joint inflammation in acute gout of the knee by Shu-Chen Chu et al [16]. A few studies revealed that serum Cys C was a potential endogenous marker for the estimation of renal function in male gout patients with renal impairment [17], and those patients with incipient diabetic kidney disease presented an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases [18]. The mean levels of Cys C were observed to increase in both TCMS groups, especially the IPSBS group.…”
