Work is a human activity whose essentiality allows man to live in society. The worker becomes the protagonist in this sense and to return the look to these subjects is the focus of this research, which will deal specifically with the nursing team workers. Professionals who perform the work activity in adverse circumstances of personal and collective conflicts, with work overload, unfavorable environmental and structural situations, inciting possibilities of illness. In the hospital setting, where health care is offered during the twenty-four hours of the day, nursing workers are still arranged in shift work schedules, which constituted an important variable of analysis considering the repercussions of the night shift To the biopsychosocial life of these subjects. With regard to the work of nursing, working shift, understanding the work as a center, considering its implications to the health of the individual, and relate it to Quality of Life, become important objects of study and that configures this research. With the objective of evaluating the Quality of Life of these professionals, we used the technique of triangulation of methods with the application of WHOQOL-abbreviated questionnaire, configuration of the Socioeconomic Profile and the accomplishment of Focal Group sessions. It is a field research, explanatory, of quantitative and qualitative approach. A nursing nursing team at the Hospital of Clinics of Uberlândia (HC-UFU) of the Emergency Room (PS) was chosen as the target of this investigation, understanding the intensification of the work routine in emergencies. Because it is a large public hospital and a reference to the affluent region of the Triângulo Mineiro, in addition to a target sector whose work dynamics are dense, the results from the research have diagnostic potential for the purpose of health promotion and disease prevention and injuries to the workers. Participated in this research 127 nursing workers from different categories: nursing technicians and auxiliaries, as well as nurses, participated in this study. The results obtained evidenced that the workers are satisfied with Quality of Life, from both quantitative and qualitative results, but with the possibility of improvement in face of the confrontations and difficulties, which they themselves identified in the Focus Group session, of different natures , Environmental, social and psychic). From a shift perspective the results did not show significant discrepancies in the data obtained when compared. The research evidenced a reality of workers with specific characteristics that directly affect the evaluation of Quality of Life, highlighting in this sense the employment relationship and schooling.
