RESUMO Objetivo: Verificar associação entre sobrepeso, obesidade e pressão arterial elevada em escolares brasileiros com idade entre 6 e 10 anos incompletos. Método: Estudo seccional realizado no município de Macaé, RJ, em que foi coletado massa corporal, estatura e pressão arterial. O índice de massa corporal foi calculado pelo software Anthro Plus e classificado conforme SISVAN. Pressão arterial sistólica/diastólica elevada quando ≥ percentil 90 por idade, sexo e percentil da estatura/idade (7ª Diretriz Brasileira de Hipertensão). A análise foi por regressão logística com intervalo de confiança 95%, software SPSS. Resultados: Foram avaliadas 911 crianças e, após estratificação por estado nutricional, as com magreza foram excluídas. Entre as 888 crianças restantes, a prevalência de sobrepeso foi 17,7% e obesidade 16,2%. A prevalência de pressão arterial elevada foi 34%, não diferindo entre sexo (p=0,57). Sobrepeso foi significativamente associado à pressão elevada no grupo de 8-9 anos (OR 1,99; p=0,004), enquanto a obesidade associou-se em ambos os grupos (6-7 anos OR 2,50; p=0,004 e 8-9 anos OR 4,21 p=0,001). Conclusão: Os resultados demonstraram que sobrepeso e obesidade aumentaram expressivamente a chance de pressão arterial elevada entre crianças de 6 a 10 anos incompletos.

Objetivo: Analisar a percepção dos estudantes de enfermagem a respeito do chat educacional sobre cateterismo gástrico em enfermagem pediátrica e neonatal. Método: Trata-se de um estudo documental retrospectivo com abordagem quali-quantitativa. Foram analisadas as avaliações preenchidas por 367 estudantes de graduação em Enfermagem de uma universidade pública do interior de São Paulo, após participação no chat educacional sobre cateterismo gástrico, no período de 2013 a 2022. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e, para análise e categorização das expressões escritas, foi utilizada a Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: O chat educacional foi considerado uma atividade importante para o aprendizado (86,6%) e para a prática (98,4%), gerando no aluno a necessidade de mais sessões de chat sobre outros temas tanto nas disciplinas de saúde da criança e do adolescente quanto em outras disciplinas (80,6%). Os estudantes sentiram-se tão motivados com a atividade que consideraram que o tempo de duração poderia ser aumentado. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que o chat educacional sobre cateterismo gástrico na criança atingiu o objetivo proposto, construindo o conhecimento de forma coletiva, auxiliando na autonomia do estudante no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, segundo a percepção destes.

Introduction. The most important area of work of medical and nursing staff is the development of children’s healthcare and the provision of qualified personnel for medical institutions. To care for patients, it is necessary to master increasingly complex medical and technical knowledge and master new skills, and improve those already acquired. High-tech medical care is a complex of medical and diagnostic medical services conducted in the conditions of research centers, one of which is the National Medical Research Center for Children’s Health of the Ministry of Health of Russia (hereinafter the Center), using complex and unique medical technologies with significant resource intensity. The purpose of the work: to establish the features of the professional activity of the specialists of the nursing link of the medical research center and to determine the ways of further development of nursing care. Materials and methods. The data of the personnel records of the Center and the data of the Federal Statistical Observation in Russia and Moscow, own data of surveys and questionnaires are analyzed. Results. 35% of the Center’s nurses were found to have the highest qualification category. The staffing of the Center with nursing staff is 84.5%, which is higher than the average in Russia. Nurses participated in providing care to 37,000 patients of the round-the-clock hospital and providing 860,000 outpatient services. They made presentations at 8 scientific and practical conferences, textbooks and articles were published with the participation of nurses, 6 patents for inventions were obtained, advanced training programs were prepared. Conclusion. The Medical Research Center is a launching pad for innovative work of nursing staff, continuous improvement of their knowledge and skills. The formation of new motivations is the key to the success of the creative activity of children’s nurses. Authors presented ways to improve the quality of the work of children’s nurses of the research Center that will ensure the expansion of the functions of nursing specialists, allow the development of average medical staff in the profession and fully use their capabilities for the qualified provision of nursing care to children.
