Show more

“…() observed in intestine and muscle of P. fasciatum fed with the same lacteal secretion increased DNA concentration, indicating a hyperplasia process in these tissues. Newborn calves fed also with bovine colostrum showed intestinal cellular maturation by affect behaviour of first generation of enterocytes, stimulated by the lacteal secretion (Bagaldo, Pauletti, Delgado, Lanna, Kindlein & Machado Neto ). In newborn goat kids fed with LBC, higher protein content and protein/DNA ratio were observed, indicating that the process of immunoglobulin internalization was intense in the small intestine (Moretti, Nordi, Lima et al .…”

“…The values of total protein, DNA and RNA and the relationships between these variables are important indicators of cellular activity in the tissues (Blättler et al., ; Bagaldo et al., ). According to Burrin et al.…”

“…According to Bagaldo et al. (), the supply of IGF‐I to newborn calves is related to the increase in half‐life of the enterocytes and intestinal cellular maturation.…”
