The aim of this work was to verify the effect of different levels of true digestible lysine (TDL) and crude protein (CP) on diets on the carcass composition of the swine in the nursery phase. Eighty piglets Landrace x Large White, barrows and females, with initial weight of 9.1±1.2 kg and final weight of 21.5±4.8 kg, weaned at the 28 days, allotted in groups of two during 35 days in the nursery. A randomized block design in factorial 2x4 (two levels of CP -16 and 18% -and four of TDL -0.7; 0.9; 1.1 and 1.3%) with five repetitions was used. After weighing, one animal of each stall was sacrificed and the carcass utilized for determination of water (CWP), protein (CPP) and lipid (CLP) percentage and deposition tax of the protein (DTP) and lipid (DTL). There were no differences for CWP, but there was had quadratic effect of the lysine levels on the CPP and DTP in the carcasses only in 18% CP diets, being 1.02% of TDL that propitiated the best result for DTP. There was no difference in 16% CP diets. For the CLP, there were no differences when 18% CP diets were utilized, however there was had quadratic effect with 16% CP diets, being 0.99% the level of TDL that provided the higher deposition. For the DTL, the 1.08 and 1.00% of TDL resulting in higher values in 18 and 16% CP diets, respectively. One concluded that 18% CP diets is the ideal and the 1.02% of TDL must be kept for the best carcass composition of swine in the initial phase.Index terms: Synthetic amino acids, carcass composition, nutrition, piglets. RESUMOObjetivou-se verificar o efeito dos níveis de lisina digestível verdadeira (LDV) e proteína bruta (PB) nas rações sobre a composição de carcaça de suínos na fase inicial. Foram utilizados 80 suínos Landrace x Large White, machos castrados e fêmeas, com peso inicial de 9,1±1,2 kg e final de 21,5±4,8 kg, desmamados aos 28 dias, alojados em grupos de dois, durante 35 dias na creche. Foi utilizado um delineamento em blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 2x4 (dois níveis de PB -16 e 18% e quatro de LDV -0,7; 0,9; 1,1 e 1,3%) com cinco repetições. Após a pesagem, um animal de cada baia foi abatido e as carcaças utilizadas para determinação da porcentagem de água (%A), proteína (%P) e lipídios (%L) e taxa de deposição de proteína (TDP) e lipídios (TDL). Não houve diferenças para %A na carcaça. Houve efeito quadrático dos níveis de lisina na %P e TDP na carcaça apenas em rações com 18% PB, sendo 1,02% de LDV o nível que proporcionou melhor resultado. Não houve diferença em rações com 16% PB. Para %L, não houve diferença quando 18% PB foi utilizado, porém houve efeito quadrático com 16% PB, sendo 0,99% o nível de LDV que proporcionou a maior deposição. Para TDL, os níveis de 1,08 e 1,00% de LDV resultaram em maiores valores em rações com 18 e 16% PB, respectivamente. Conclui-se que 18% PB na ração é o ideal e que 1,02% de LDV deve ser mantido para uma melhor composição de carcaça de suínos na fase inicial.Termos para indexação: Aminoácido sintético, composição da carcaça, nutrição, leitões.

-This study evaluated the relationship between digestible lysine and metabolizable energy for barrow and gilts from 24 to 50 kg. Performance, digestibility and blood profile were studied. The experimental design was of randomized blocks, with five treatments, eight replicates and two animals per experimental unit in the performance assay and four replicates and one animal per experimental unit in the digestibility assay. The blood profile was chosen at 20 random animals of each sex, with four replicates per treatment and the animal as experimental unit. The treatments were 0.80, 0.90, 1.00, 1.10 and 1.20% digestible lysine. There was a linear effect of lysine levels on weight gain and feed conversion in females and crude protein in both sexes, gross energy excreted in the urine (kcal) and digestible energy (kcal). A quadratic effect of the amino acid studied in the daily consumption of crude protein (g) in both sexes, weight gain and feed conversion of barrows, as well as the nitrogen excreted in the urine (g) and nitrogen retained, and absorbed and retained. The relationship between neutrophils and lymphocytes had quadratic responses with increasing levels of lysine. The maximum performance for the studied genotype was obtained with 0.88 and 0.91% of digestible lysine or 2.60 and 2.67 g of digestible lysine/Mcal of metabolizable energy for females and barrows, respectively, corrected for digestibility trial.

Dois experimentos foram conduzidos para avaliar níveis de PB e lisina digestível (LISD) na dieta sobre o desempenho e a excreção de nitrogênio (N) de leitões na fase inicial. No experimento 1, 80 suínos machos castrados e fêmeas (peso inicial de 9,1 ± 1,2 kg e final de 21,5 ± 4,8 kg), mestiços Landrace × Large White, foram distribuídos em blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 2 × 4, composto de dois níveis de PB (16 e 18%) e quatro níveis de LISD (0,7; 0,9; 1,1 e 1,3%) com cinco repetições e dois animais por unidade experimental durante 35 dias. Foram avaliados o ganho de peso médio diário (GPMD), o consumo médio diário de ração (CMDR) e a conversão alimentar (CA). No experimento 2, 32 suínos machos castrados (25,0 ± 1,3 kg), provenientes do experimento 1 foram alojados individualmente em gaiolas próprias para estudos de metabolismo (unidade experimental) durante 11 dias para determinação dos teores de N ingerido (NI), N nas fezes e N na urina. As rações foram formuladas com milho, farelo de soja e leite em pó modificado e suplementadas com vitaminas e minerais. Os aminoácidos metionina e treonina foram corrigidos de acordo com os níveis de lisina, segundo o conceito de proteína ideal. Não houve efeito da interação LISD × PB sobre nenhuma variável estudada. Os níveis de LISD tiveram efeito quadrático sobre o GMDR e a CA, que foram melhores nos animais alimentados com as dietas com níveis de 1,04 e 1,09% de PB. Os níveis de N nas fezes sofreram efeito linear crescente dos níveis de LISD e PB, enquanto os níveis de N na urina foram afetados de forma quadrática pelos níveis de LISD, com melhor resultado no nível de 1,03% LISD na ração. O CMDR e o nível de N nas fezes não foram influenciados pelos níveis de LISD e PB. O nível de 1,05% LISD em dietas com 16 e 18% PB proporciona melhor desempenho e menor excreção de N nos dejetos de suínos.
