ABSTRACT. This study aimed at verifying the adaptability and stability of soybean cultivars, considering the grain yield and quality of seeds, adopting univariate and multivariate approaches. The experiments were conducted in two crops, three environments, in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 crop seasons, in the county of Inconfidentes, Lavras, and Patos de Minas, in the Minas Gerais State, Brazil. We evaluated 17 commercial soybean cultivars. For adaptability and stability evaluations, the Graphic and GGE biplot methods were employed. Previously, a selection index was estimated based on the sum of the standardized variables (Z index). The data relative to grain yield, mass of one thousand grain, uniformity test (sieve retention), and germination test were standardized (Z ij ) per cultivar. With the sum of Z ij , we obtained the selection index for the four traits evaluated together. In the Graphic method evaluation, cultivars NA 7200 RR and CD 2737 RR presented the highest values for selection index Z. By the GGE biplot method, we verified that cultivar NA 7200 RR presented greater stability in both univariate evaluations, for grain yield, and for selection index Z.

RESUMOObjetivou-se, neste trabalho, verificar o efeito dos fungicidas oxicloreto de cobre, tiofanato metílico, tiofanato metílico + clorotalonil e clorotalonil em diferentes estádios fenológicos V 6 , R 1 , R 5 , V 6 + R 1 , V 6 + R 5 e R 1 + R 5 no controle da ferrugem asiática da soja. O estudo foi conduzido na área experimental do Departamento de Agricultura da Universidade Federal de Lavras. Observou-se efeito significativo de controle da ferrugem asiática para todos os fungicidas avaliados. A aplicação de pyraclostrobin + epoxiconazole em R 1 proporcionou o controle efetivo da doença, não diferindo estatisticamente de V 6 + R 1 e R 1 + R 5 . As aplicações em R 5 e V 6 + R 5 apresentaram elevada severidade, no entanto, com rendimento de grãos semelhante a aplicações do mesmo fungicida nos estádios R 1 , V 6 + R 1 e R 1 + R 5 .Termos para indexação: Freqüência de pulverizações, Phakopsora pachyrhizi, Glycine max. ABSTRACTThe aim of this work was to verify the effect of the fungicides dicopper chloride trihydroxide, thiophanate methyl, chlorothalonil+thiophanate methyl, chlorothalonil, and pyraclostrobin+epoxiconazole applied at the stages V 6 , R 1 , R 5 , V 6 +R 1 , V 6 +R 5 , R 1 +R 5 on the control of the Asian rust and on the agronomic characteristics of the soybean. The experiment was carried out at the experimental area of the Agriculture Department, Federal University of Lavras, Lavras -MG, Brazil. Significant effects were observed for all fungicides on Asian rust control, in comparison with the control. The treatments with fungicide sprays pyraclostrobin + epoxiconazole at the growth stage R 1 provided the effective control of the disease, no significant differences were observed between V 6 + R 1 and R 1 + R 5 . The sprays at R 5 and V 6 + R 5 showed high disease severity however, with grain yield similar to the applications of the same fungicide at the stages R 1 , V 6 + R 1 and R 1 + R 5 .

RESUMO:A cada ano, as empresas de melhoramento criam novas cultivares para atender as demandas dos produtores, que tem diante de si, a necessidade cada vez maior de produzir mais, apesar das dificuldades. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar a adaptação de diferentes cultivares de soja, às condições edafoclimáticas do Estado de São Paulo. Os parâmetros avaliados na cultura da soja foram: altura de inserção da primeira vagem, altura de plantas, estande final ha -1 , massa de mil grãos e produtividade de grãos. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos casualizados. Os dados foram submetidos ao teste F e as médias foram comparadas pelo teste de ScottKnott (p<0,05). Constatou-se que as cultivares avaliadas apresentaram massa de mil grãos superior a 150 g e produtividade de grãos superior a 3290 kg ha -1 nos quatro locais avaliados no Estado de São Paulo. The present work had the objective of evaluating the adaptation of different soybean cultivars, to the edaphoclimatic conditions of São Paulo, State, Brazil. The parameters evaluated in the soybean crop were: height of insertion of the first pod, height of plants, final stand ha -1 , mass of a thousand grains and grain yield. The experimental design was in randomized complete block design. The data were submitted to the F test and the means were compared by the Scott-Knott test (p <0.05). It was verified that the evaluated cultivars presented a mass of one thousand grains superior to 150 g and grain yield superior to 3290 kg ha -1 in the four places evaluated in the São Paulo State.
