Concerns over the depletion of traditional fossil energy sources and the consequent greenhouse effect generated by the use of fossil fuels have increased, creating a need to search for alternative sources of clean energy. Thus, this work had the objective of portraying the potential of residues from agroenergy in the State of Tocantins for generation of Biogas. This article was developed under the principle of the exploratory study, through data surveys from the State. The agroenergy residues researched were soybean, cassava (manioc), rice, sugarcane, maize, sorghum and beans. The energy potential of the studied residues represents 3,56% of the energy generation capacity by biomass sources. The source of highest agroenergy potential for biogas generation was maize, with an energy capacity of 498.90 MW. The use of biomass as an energy source presents itself as an interesting alternative in the survey carried throughout this work. POTENCIAL DOS RESÍDUOS AGROENERGÉTICOS PARA A GERAÇÃO DE BIOGÁS NO ESTADO DO TOCANTINS RESUMO:A preocupação com o esgotamento das tradicionais fontes de energia fósseis e com o consequente efeito estufa gerado pela utilização dessas têm se tornado cada vez maior, o que torna necessária a busca de fontes alternativas de geração de energia limpa. Desse modo, este trabalho teve como objetivo retratar o potencial dos resíduos agroenergéticos do Estado do Tocantins para a geração de Biogás. Este artigo foi desenvolvido sobre os preceitos do estudo exploratório, por meio de levantamentos de dados do Estado. Os resíduos agroenergéticos pesquisados foram a soja, mandioca, arroz, cana-de-açúcar, milho, sorgo e feijão. O potencial energético dos resíduos estudados representa 3,56% da capacidade de geração de energia por fontes de biomassa. O maior potencial agroenergético para a geração de biogás foi do milho com capacidade energética de 498,90MW. A utilização da biomassa como fonte de energia torna-se uma alternativa interessante no levantamento realizado neste trabalho.Palavras-chaves: bioenergia, biocombustíveis, biomassa.

Swine production is characterized as a potentially harmful activity to the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternatives that can minimize problems caused by this activity. Among the alternatives, we highlight the use of deep litter, which provides a breeding system that promotes the treatment of waste in solid form. The digester is used as an adjunctive treatment to the deep litter as this alone is not sufficient to remove all content of polluting waste. The objective of study was to evaluate the efficiency of laboratory digesters in reducing pollutant loads from swine deep litter. Deep litter composed of wood shavings and sugarcane bagasse was used. Samples were collected at the inlet and outlet of the biodigester. Six model laboratory batch digesters with a volume of 20 liters were used in treatment. For the efficiency reduction pollutants manure analysis, the following physical-chemical parameters were analyzed in the inlet and outlet: Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Solids (TS), total nitrogen, total phosphorus and pH. The mean removal efficiencies of BOD, COD, TS were 53.38; 54.53% and 44.97%, respectively. Based on the results it was found that the anaerobic treatment system was effective to reduce and stabilize the organic matter of the manure. There was an increase in total nitrogen and total phosphorus after treatment, which makes its favorable for use as a biofertilizer. There were no significant changes in pH indicating good tamponade of the system.

RESUMO:O objetivo do trabalho foi desenvolver e testar um modelo matemático computacional, com base na teoria dos conjuntos fuzzy, para predizer a temperatura superficial e frequência respiratória de suínos em função da idade dos animais e o índice de temperatura e umidade (ITU). Foram observados suínos na fase de crescimento e terminação. Os dados do ambiente térmico (ITU) e respostas fisiológicas (Temperatura Superficial (TS) e Frequência Respiratória (FR)) foram usados no desenvolvimento de um modelo fuzzy, sendo definidas, como variáveis de entrada a idade dos animais (dias) e o índice de temperatura e umidade (ITU), por se tratarem de variáveis que influenciam diretamente nas respostas fisiológicas dos animais. O desvio padrão médio do modelo fuzzy em relação aos valores observados experimentalmente foi de 0,61% e 1,38%, para TS e FR, respectivamente, sendo o desvio padrão maior encontrado de 1,30% e 4,16% (para TS e FR, respectivamente) e o desvio padrão menor de 0,01% e 0,14% (para TS e FR respectivamente). Os coeficientes de determinação (R 2 , %) obtidos mostraram que 58,72% e 83,55% (para TS e FR respectivamente) da variação podem ser explicadas pelo modelo. Portanto, o modelo fuzzy desenvolvido em função da idade dos suínos e do ITU mostrou-se mais adequado para a predição da resposta frequência respiratória do que para a predição da temperatura superficial de suínos na fase de crescimento. Apresenta baixo desvio padrão e correlação considerável para essa variável com os dados medidos durante a condução do experimento de campo, podendo ser utilizado como ferramenta de controle do ambiente térmico em instalações comerciais de produção. PALAVRA-CHAVE: ambiência térmica, instalações para suínos, modelagem fuzzy THERMAL COMFORT FUZZY INDEX OF PIGS IN GROWING AND FINISHING BASED ON SURFACE TEMPERATURE AND RESPIRATORY RATEABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to develop and test a computational mathematical model, based on the fuzzy theory to predict the surface temperature and respiratory rate of pigs in function of their age and the temperature and humidity index (THI). Pigs were observed in the growth-finishing phase. The data of the thermal environment (THI) and physiological responses (surface temperature (ST) and respiratory rate (RR)) were used in developing the fuzzy model. The age of the animals (days) and the temperature and humidity index (THI), were defined as input variables because they are variables that directly influence the physiological responses of the animals. The average standard deviation of the fuzzy model observed values was 0.61% and 1.38% for TS and FR, respectively. The highest standard deviation was 1.30% and 4.16% (for TS and RR, respectively), and the lowest standard deviation was of 0.01% and 0.14% (for TS and FR respectively).
