Abstract: Resumo Este artigo revisa as transformações no ensino médico e no ensino da saúde, impulsionadas, de um lado, pela reforma sanitária e consolidação do Sistema Único de Saúde e, de outro, pelas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, que fomentaram a interdisciplinaridade, a interprofissionalidade e a intersetorialidade das políticas indutoras para a consolidação da Educação Interprofissional em saúde (EIP).
