Background: The National Immunization Program Information System (SIPNI-Sistema de Informação do Programa Nacional de Imunização) in Brazil is a technological innovation management tool that enhances the performance of managers and health professionals in the evaluation and monitoring of immunization activities. In the country, the decentralization of the System is at an advanced stage, but it still faces challenges regarding its operation and use, impacting on its results. This study aims to evaluate the deployment of SIPNI in the state of Minas Gerais, in 2017. Method: Cross-section study performed in Primary Healthcare vaccination rooms in 54 municipalities in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, in 2017. A multidimensional questionnaire was used with nursing professionals who work in vaccination rooms, containing questions about the structure (presence of an internet-connected computer, instruction manual, software version, IT professional for technical support, trained healthcare professional, use of communication channels to obtain system information) and the process (activities performed by the staff to operate the immunization information system) of their work. Those questions refer to the components of the information system: system management, immunized-patient records, and Movement of Immunobiological. Implementation Degree (ID) was defined by a score system with different weights for each criterion, according to the importance level observed in it, with a rating of: adequate, partially adequate, inadequate and critically inadequate. For data analysis, median was used as the summary measure, and Pearson's Chi-Squared Test was used for proportion comparison.

Objetivo: Conhecer o perfil epidemiológico da leishmaniose visceral e sua distribuição no município de Sobral CE, no período de 2007 a 2017. Material e métodos: Trata-se de estudo epidemiológico, descritivo, transversal, retrospectivo, com abordagem quantitativa, a partir de dados dos casos de leishmaniose visceral diagnosticados no período de 2007 a 2017 no município de Sobral CE notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) do Ministério da Saúde. Resultados: Os dados do estudo mostram que no período foram notificados 874 casos de leishmaniose visceral no município de Sobral CE, sendo a maioria do sexo masculino (63,5%), acometendo majoritariamente a raça parda (90,6%) e apresentando maior prevalência na faixa etária entre 1 e 9 anos de idade (40,3%). Identifica-se a associação entre maior incidência de leishmaniose visceral e piores condições de vida e baixa escolaridade, o que reforça indicações de que sua ocorrência está associada à situação de vulnerabilidade social na qual se encontra uma grande parte da população. Conclusão: Considerando que diversos fatores podem influenciar no processo saúde-doença, vê-se a necessidade da utilização de indicadores epidemiológicos, que reflitam o quadro real das condições de saúde da população. Nesse contexto, a conscientização das populações, além do apoio dos profissionais de saúde na criação de ações profiláticas, pode contribuir para o planejamento e a implantação de estratégias de controle da patologia de forma eficaz.

Background Aware of the importance of consolidating social control in the qualification of the Brazilian government’s Unified Health System (SUS) management, it is important to highlight that the audit must implement technical cooperation actions with the municipal, state and national health councils and with the three management spheres. Objective Analyze the interaction between the Municipal Health Councils and the SUS audit service. Method The research, with a qualitative approach, had the participation of 20 municipal health counselors, who worked in the largest health region of Ceará, Brazil, composed of 24 municipalities. The thematic content analysis data were collected using self-administered questionnaire. Results We observed a weak interaction between the Municipal Health Council and the SUS audit sector in the municipalities. Conclusion Counselors are unaware of their competencies and the functions of the municipal audit sector.
