Ética e estética: envolvimentos na promoção do cuidado gerontológico de enfermagem

Abstract

Trata-se de pesquisa bibliográfica que teve como objetivo levantar a produção técnico-científica relacionada à área da enfermagem sobre a ética, estética na promoção do cuidado gerontológico de enfermagem. Foram realizadas buscas nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e no acervo da biblioteca da Universidade Federal do Paraná. O período pesquisado na base de dados foi do ano de 1990 ao atual, 2006. Os resultados apontaram quarenta e cinco (45) trabalhos das diversas fontes pesquisadas e classificadas como pesquisa ou reflexão. Verificou-se, com os resultados do estudo, um número significativo de teses (22,22%), demonstrando o interesse e produção meritória. Nesta temática, as produções enfocam a ética, em detrimento das referências da estética. Os envolvimentos da ética e da estética na promoção do cuidado gerontológico de enfermagem são indispensáveis para o desenvolvimento de uma cultura de cuidado em enfermagem e para a sustentabilidade deste.
