The gibberellins (GA) present an essential role in many aspects of plant development, seed germination, internode elongation, flower and fruit development. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate the growth attributes and the physiological quality of bean seeds from plants submitted to the application of gibberellic acid, revealing great importance in some characters of agronomic interest. Seeds of genotypes (Phaseulus vulgaris) Mouro and BRS Embaixador and four concentrations of gibberellic acid (zero, 50, 100 and 200 mg L -1 ) were used. Seed germination, first count, germination speed, primary root and shoot length, dry matter of seedlings, shoot height, stem diameter, first pod insertion, pod number and seeds per pod were evaluated. Giberelic acid promoted an increase in plant height and a reduction in stem diameter. Seeds produced under doses of GA 3 did not influence seed germination and dry matter of the seedlings at higher doses, being dependent on the cultivar. In this way, the application of increasing doses of GA 3 in bean plants increases the height of insertion of the first pod, while the physiological quality of the seeds produced is affected by the acid doses.

ABSTRACT-Plant growth regulators and biostimulants have been used as an agronomic technique to optimize the production of seedlings in various crops. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of gibberellic acid and the biostimulant Stimulate ® on the initial growth of tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.). The experiments were conducted in a nursery with 50% shading, in a randomized block design with five replications and five plants per plot. Thirty eight days after sowing, the leaves were sprayed seven times a day with 0.0 (control), 0.8, 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mL of gibberellic acid L -1 aqueous solution and with 0.0 (control), 6.0,12.0, 18.0, and 24.0 mL Stimulate ® L -1 aqueous solution. Stem diameter (SD), plant height (PH), longest root length (LRL), shoot dry mass (SDM), root dry mass (RDM) and RDM:SDM ratio were evaluated ninety days after sowing. Variance and regression analysis showed that GA 3 at 4% promoted plant growth (height), but had no significant effect on stem diameter, longest root length, shoot and root dry mass and the RDM:SDM ratio. On the other hand, all concentrations of Stimulate ® significantly increased plant height and shoot and root dry mass of tamarind seedlings. INFLUÊNCIA DO ÁCIDO GIBERÉLICO E DO BIOESTIMULANTE STIMULATE ® NO CRESCIMENTO INICIAL DE TAMARINDEIRORESUMO-O emprego de reguladores e bioestimulantes vegetais como técnica agronômica para se otimizar a produção de mudas tem sido utilizado em diversas culturas. Este trabalho teve como objetivo, avaliar a influência do ácido giberélico e do bioestimulante Stimulate ® , isoladamente, no crescimento inicial de plantas de tamarindeiro (Tamarindus indica L.). Os experimentos foram conduzidos em viveiro telado com 50% de sombreamento, em delineamento em blocos casualizados, com cinco repetições e cinco plantas por parcela. As pulverizações foram iniciadas aos 38 dias após a semeadura (DAS), e cada produto foi ministrado em sete pulverizações foliares diárias, nas concentrações de 0,0 (controle -água), 0,8; 1,6;2,4 e 3,2 mL de ácido giberélico L -1 de solução aquosa e 0,0 (controle -água), 6,0; 12,0; 18,0 e 24,0 mL de Stimulate ® L -1 de solução aquosa. Aos 90 DAS, foram avaliados: o diâmetro do caule, altura da planta, comprimento da maior raiz, massa seca da parte aérea (MSPA) e da raiz (MSR) e a relação MSR/MSPA. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância e análise de regressão para os tratamentos, em isolado, GA 3 4% e Stimulate ® . A pulverização foliar com ácido giberélico (GA 3 4%) é eficiente para promover o crescimento em altura de plantas de tamarindeiro, no entanto não promove efeitos significativos sobre o diâmetro do caule, crescimento da maior raiz, massa seca da parte aérea, raiz e na relação MSR/MSPA. Resumo -O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de reguladores de crescimento sobre o estabelecimento inicial e o desempenho agronômico de cultivares de arroz irrigado, em diferentes sistemas de cultivo. O experimento foi conduzido em ambiente controlado e em campo, com as cultivares Irga 424 e Irga 425, e os produtos ácido giberélico, tiametoxam e Haf Plus. Em campo, os tratamentos foram testados nos sistemas de cultivo convencional e pré-germinado. Em ambiente controlado, as substâncias avaliadas promoveram a germinação de Irga 425, com incremento de 50% na germinação com o uso de tiametoxam, e de 39% com Haf Plus e ácido giberélico. Em campo, esse desempenho foi dependente do sistema de cultivo e da cultivar utilizada. O ácido giberélico causou estiolamento inicial, com reflexos na estatura da planta, na emissão de perfilhos e na deposição de biomassa vegetal. Tiametoxam e Haf Plus estimularam o perfilhamento das cultivares de arroz, nos dois sistemas de cultivo. Apesar de todos os produtos estimularem o número de panículas por metro quadrado, sua influência na produtividade de grãos não foi observada nos sistemas avaliados.Termos para indexação: Oryza sativa, ácido giberélico, estabelecimento inicial, sistema pré-germinado, tiametoxam. Performance of rice cultivars with the use of growth-regulators in different cropping systemsAbstract -The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of growth-regulating substances on initial establishment and agronomic performance of irrigated rice cultivars, in different cropping systems. The experiment was carried out in controlled environment and in field conditions, using the cultivars Irga 424 and Irga 425, and the products gibberellic acid, thiamethoxam and Haf Plus. At field, treatments were tested with conventional and pre-germinated sowing systems. In the controlled environment, the evaluated substances promoted the germination of Irga 425, with an increase of 50% in germination with the use of thiamethoxam and of 39% with Haf Plus and gibberellic acid. In the field, this performance was dependent on the system and the cultivar used. Gibberellic acid caused initial blanching, which reflected in plant height, tiller emission, and deposition of vegetal biomass. Thiamethoxam and Haf Plus stimulated tillering of rice cultivars in both cultivation systems. Although all the products stimulated the number of panicles per square meter, there is no influence on grain yield in the evaluated systems.Index terms: Oryza sativa, gibberellic acid, early establishment, pre-germinated system, thiamethoxam.
