ResumoObjetivou-se avaliar a inclusão de níveis crescentes de grãos secos de destilaria com solúveis (GSDS) na dieta de ovinos criados na região tropical do Brasil sobre o comportamento ingestivo e os parâmetros fisiológicos. Foram utilizados quatro ovinos com peso corporal (PC) médio de 25 ± 2 kg, distribuídos em delineamento em quadrado latino, com quatro períodos e quatro níveis de inclusão dos GSDS (0, 8, 16 e 24%). Os ovinos foram alocados em gaiolas de metabolismo e receberam duas refeições por dia. Os dados de comportamento ingestivo e parâmetros fisiológicos dos ovinos foram submetidos à análise de variância e as diferenças observadas foram testadas utilização equação de regressão a 5% de probabilidade. A inclusão dos níveis de GSDS na alimentação de ovinos não alterou (p>0,05) o tempo despendido para as atividades de comportamento ingestivo como, consumo de matéria seca (CMS), ruminação (RUM), ócio (OCI), consumo de água (CAG) e outras atividades (OAT) expressos em minutos. Porém, durante o período noturno houve aumento (p < 0,05) no tempo utilizado para RUM em relação ao período diurno, no entanto, houve redução (p < 0,05) nas atividades de OCI e CAG dos ovinos. A inclusão de GSDS nas rações de ovinos não alterou (p > 0,05) os parâmetros fisiológicos. Contudo, foi observado que o período da tarde influenciou (p < 0,05) os parâmetros fisiológicos avaliados, como a temperatura corporal do dianteiro (TCD), temperatura corporal do traseiro (TCT), temperatura retal (TER) e frequência respiratória (FRE), os quais foram superiores em relação aos valores observados no período da manhã. Desta maneira, conclui-se que a inclusão de até 24% de grãos secos de destilaria com solúveis na alimentação de ovinos na região tropical do Brasil, não altera o comportamento ingestivo e os parâmetros fisiológicos. Porém, os ovinos criados em confinamento em região tropical do Brasil apresentam maior tempo para a atividade de ruminação durante a noite. Durante o dia ocorre maior utilização de tempo para as atividades de ócio e consumo de água. Além disso, os ovinos criados em ambiente tropical necessitam de maior atenção com ao estresse térmico durante o período da tarde, devido ao aumento da temperatura retal e a frequência respiratória. Resumo -O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o consumo de nutrientes e o desempenho produtivo e econômico de ovinos confinados da raça Santa Inês, alimentados com dietas com diferentes taxas de inclusão de torta de macaúba. Os animais (24) foram distribuídos em delineamento de blocos ao acaso, nos tratamentos com 0, 100, 200 e 300 g kg -1 de torta de macaúba na matéria seca da dieta, em seis repetições, durante 60 dias de confinamento. A adição de torta de macaúba a taxas crescentes à dieta aumentou linearmente o consumo de proteína bruta, extrato etéreo, fibra em detergente neutro e a conversão alimentar. Não houve diferença no consumo de matéria seca, ganho médio diário e ganho de peso vivo total com a adição da torta. O tratamento com inclusão de 100 g kg -1 apresentou a melhor relação custo:benefício na avaliação das receitas bruta e líquida obtidas com a venda dos animais vivos e abatidos. A adição da torta de macaúba em até 300 g kg -1 da dieta não altera o desempenho produtivo dos animais, entretanto, a inclusão de 100 g kg -1 proporciona melhor retorno econômico.Termos para indexação: Acrocomia aculeata, confinamento, coproduto, ovinos, terminação. Performance of lambs fed with macauba pie inclusion in the dietAbstract -The objective of this work was to evaluate the nutrient uptake and the productive and economic performance of confined Santa Inês lambs fed diets with different levels of macauba pie inclusion . The animals (24) were distributed in a randomized block design, in treatments with 0, 100, 200 and 300 g kg -1 macauba pie in the diet dry matter, with six replicates during 60 days of confinement. The addition of macauba pie at increasing rates to the diet linearly increased the intake of crude protein, ether extract, neutral detergent fiber and feed conversion. There was no difference in dry matter intake, average daily gain and total live weight gain with the macauba pie addition. Diet with 100 g kg -1 macauba pie inclusion showed the best cost:benefit ratio in the evaluation of gross and net revenues from the sale of live and slaughtered animals. The addition of macauba pie up to 300 g kg -1 to the diet does not affect the animal growth performance; however, the addition of 100 g kg -1 macauba pie provides a better economic return.

-The objective of this study was to analyze the behavior of three genetic groups of confined goats by image monitoring using nine unneutered goats of the Azul, Graúna and Moxotó genotypes. The experimental design was completely randomized, in a 3 × 3 factorial arrangement (genetic groups × periods -morning, afternoon and night), with three replications. Animals were monitored by video cameras placed at the ceiling of each stall for 10 days. There were interaction factors in the frequency of behavioral categories: interaction with the trough, self-cleaning, standing bipedally, social interaction, and other activities. Azul, Graúna and Moxotó native goats kept in the same environment under the same system of containment and feeding show different frequencies and durations in their behaviors, which are influenced by the period of the day.
