Gênero e raça na desigualdade social brasileira recente

Abstract

ESTE TRABALHO apresenta as diferenças nos rendimentos pessoais relacionados com raça e gênero, no Brasil dos últimos anos, identificando uma nítida hierarquia: homens brancos (não negros), mulheres brancas, homens negros (e pardos) e mulheres negras. As evidências disponíveis revelam que essas desigualdades são pouco expressivas no interior de cada nível social ou grupo sociocupacional. Em outras palavras, os negros e mulheres que conseguem ingressar nos estratos melhor situados aproximam-se das condições prevalecentes nos mesmos. Assim sendo, as distorções localizar-se-iam sobretudo nas condições desiguais de acesso às ocupações melhor remuneradas.<br>This paper presents the differences in personal income related with gender and ethnic group, in Brazil, identifying a sharp hierarchy: white men (except afro Americans), white women, afro Americans (and descendents) and afro Americans women.The available evidences shows that these inequalities are not expressive within each social level or socioccupational group. In other words, the afro Americans and the women who reach the finest strata are quite close of the regular condition of the same groups. In this sense, the distortions are located mostly in inequality in the access condition to better-remunerated occupations
