Revascularização completa do miocárdio.

Show more

“…In this study we perform a sequential venous graft in one case and observed distribution of resistance by both revascularized segments, thus reducing the final resistance, which allowed not only a reasonable output, but, perhaps, and the most important: the higher velocity flow [16] and may indicate, if confirmed in future studies, possible reduction of obstructive complications [17].…”

“…The use of arterial grafts has been the primary goal of all services, trying to reduce the reoperation and cardiovascular event rates [8,9,[11][12][13]. In spite of the great applicability of the saphenous graft, it is known that its evolution over the mid term and long term is unsatisfactory [6,11,14,15]. So why not use the same type of graft utilized in young patients in selected elderly patients?…”

“…It is known that the use of two internal thoracic arteries in elderly patients is a problem due to devitalized bone and diabetes, frequently occurring together, which cause a greater incidence of mediastinitis [9,14]. The approach of the gastroepiploic artery is also problematic because of the involvement of the abdominal cavity and by the anatomic limitation of its utilization.…”

“…When analysed by subgroups, the 70 to 74 years of age patients' mortality was 5.3%, and that of the last 35 patients was 2.8%. During the postoperative period the most important complications were respiratory failure (10), atrial arrhythmia (7), mental confusion (6), pulmonary infection (6), pulmonary emboli (5), low output syndrome (4), hospital acute myocardial infarction (3), stroke (3), acute renal insufficiency (4) and mediastinitis (1). In the late follow-up four (6.1%) patients died, being two cases by non-cardiac causes.…”
